How do I install a credit card reader into an American Changer with an old style board?

It is now possible to affordably install a credit card / NFC reader in an American Changer with the older legacy board and new Universal board. Here are the details for installing the kit in a token changer with the older legacy board:

The interface board is installed by unplugging the existing harness on the control board that connects to the bill validator. The harness from the kit is now inserted into the connector of the board. If dollar bills will also be used for payments, the harness in plugged back into the new harness. No cutting or splicing is needed.

The kit includes a harness that is then connected to the telemeter/card reader.

The kit allows the telemeter to record the amount of cash accepted. It is an excellent tool for your internal controls. This kit can be installed with a Cantaloupe telemeter only if you need to remotely monitor cash accepted in a bill changer or token changer.

Card readers can be programmed so the customer can select the amount of money they wish to spend which is typically $5.00, $10.00, or $20.00. The Nayax Touch is the best option for programming. The screen on a Nayax Touch nicely displays up to 4 payment options.

In some cases, it is possible to dispense bonus tokens to encourage the customer to make a larger purchase. If the control board in the changer offers this option, then bonus coins can be awarded.  If the board offers 45 tokens when a $10.00 is accepted, the same will occur when this amount is spent by card or NFC.
