In the event you do not know this code number or the lock is damaged, we offer a tool that will allow the shoulder of a non-hardened standard lock to be drilled away. This will make it easy to open the lock.
Once the metal shoulder is drilled away, the spring loaded pins will be released and then the lock can usually be opened. After is is open, the lock can be removed and a replacement lock installed. The entire process typically takes less than 5 minutes.
If used properly, the tool will typically allow 3 locks to be drilled before dulling. The locks cannot be hardened or have dead pins. Prior to ordering, confirm the face of your tubular lock matches the photo. There are thousands of codes so it is not possible to buy a master key.
Another good option is to hire a local locksmith.
The locks are made by many companies such as Ace, Ilco, Chicago Lock, Comp X, etc.
