Amusement Game Card Reader Interface Module

Adding a card reader to an amusement game is made simple with the Amusement Card Reader Interface Module. The module is offered in a few configurations to make installation easy. The modules can interface with a Nayax Touch or Cantaloupe G10/G11.

If your game has a nine-position (3x3) female connection prewired for a validator, the module will connect directly to this plug. The other side of the module has a female plug so a validator can still be utilized. The 9-position plug is typically wired for either a 120VAC validator or a 12VDC validator.  When looking at the rear of the 9-position plug, if the wires are in positions 4, 6, 8, and 9, the interface is 120VAC. When looking at the back of the 9-position plug, if the wires are in positions 5, 7, 8, and 9, the interface is 12VDC. Currently, if there is a validator in the machine, you can look at the model number label to determine the voltage.

If your machine does not have a prewired 9 position female connector then you will need to order the “coin switch input version”. There are 2 versions of this module. The first version is for a coin switch with 2 wire output = common and NO. This is the most popular version. The second version is for games with 3 wires on the coin switch = common, NO, and NC. This is common in older EM games. This module includes a power supply with a standard plug. Ideally, it can be plugged into a service outlet or the plug can be cut off and connected to a 120VAC source in the game.

If you plan on using the module to add multiple credits to the game, check if the game can hold credits.  If the game does not hold credits, then you will need to order our Vintage Game Module.
