Changer Retrofit Kits |
Can you really
upgrade your Rowe changers? Yes... This kit does it!!
New control board and power supply replaces your older
electronics. Retrofit kit enables changer to accept $1's to $20's
as well as $50's and $100's if desired. Coin acceptance will
include quarters as well as the new golden dollar coin.
Retrofit kit uses
industry standard 120vac vending and amusement validators and is
very easy to install. Offers bonus payout for token option.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW |
When installing
the retrofit kit, the changer's original electronic control
board(s), power supply, transport, and stacker assembly are all
replaced. The kit's parts fit into the dollar changer's existing
assemblies so minimal modifications are necessary. If you do
elect to use an up-stacker validator, it will be necessary to cut
a hole into the front door of the changer.
As mentioned above the original
transport and stacker will be replaced with a standard
validator. The following models are recommended because of easy
installation, high security and 4-way acceptance: Ardac DBA7 ($1-
$2 - $5 - $10 - $20 - $50 - $100) or the ABA ($1 - $2 - $5). Both
of these models come with 1,000 note stackers. As an added
benefit, all these models come with a socketed clip EPROM that
will allow for quick updating of software when currency styles are
changed.
Although a 120v up-stacker validator can be
used, it will require cutting a mounting hole into the front of
the changer. All of the following validators can be used: Ardac -
USA15, Conlux/Maka - MKA - NBU - and NB series, Coinco - BA30 and
BA32SA, Mars - VFM series - AL - GL5 - AE - VN - and LE Series.
If your changer has a precut coin slot, it can also accept
quarters and the new golden dollar coin can be accepted.
